bleach stain carpet

Bleach is your carpet’s worst nightmare. If you have an old bleach stain there is very little you can do at home to fix it (though we can probably help!) But if you just spilled bleach on the carpet then you may be able to minimize damage by following these steps. Act fast!!

  1. Soak up as much of the bleach as you can using clean white cloths or paper towels. Work quickly from the outside in.
  2. Mix 2 cups warm water with a small squirt of dish soap, apply that to the area. Soak that up with more clean white towels.
  3. Now rinse the area with clean water then soak that up, drying the area as much as possible.
  4. If you can still smell the bleach in the carpet then you can try a vinegar and water mix. Just put two tea spoons of white distilled vinegar into 2 cups of lukewarm water. Apply to the spot and let it sit fr a few minutes. Rinse with plain water and dry thoroughly.
